After a hiatus earlier on this year the Black Sun is out and publishing content that is well worth the read. If you have any interest in cyberpunk film or fiction then this is a place well worth a visit.\
If you’re not familiar I’ll try and explain just what the Black Sun is.
Named after the Net hang out from Neal Stephensons great novel Snow Crash, The Black is a blog dedicated to discussing and reviewing all things cyberpunk, anime, fringe topics, technology, and just about anything that jangles the synapses. It’s a place that is undoubtedly eclectic and focussed all at the same time. It’s a great use for a blog and a really interesting project. If you’re looking that combines niche reporting with debate then give the Black Sun a chance.

Ok we’re into the New Year, time to stop the retrospective and to actually say something about what it is coming up.
First and foremost - I have to finish off the plans and photos for the steadicam project. Its high time that was put to bed and left online as a resource for anyone who may find it useful. My current excuse is that I’m I have some new layout software coming and I want to test it out doing the plans for the cam. It’s also true that sometimes I try and do to much and this can delay documenting projects.
Now that is out of the way…
I’m not going to be foolish and list out all the plans. They are many and some are bound not to happen. Instead I’d like to talk about how material is going to be published in Shared Creation. It is a simple concept. The Journal and Magazine is going to become a reporting base that allows me to talk about resources that may help you out. The Projects section is going to become a base for talking about my film projects and for allowing anyone to publicise their work. You should see the Projects as a place to say “I am doing this - come take a look!”. If you not want to setup and account and get that involved - don’t worry. Use the contacts form on the home page and I will do that work for you. I’m emphasizing these two directions simply because that is were Shared Creation did its best in 2006 and so pushing further along these lines makes sense for 2007.
2007 is planned to be a much more journalistic year than 2006 and I am hoping that this focus on reporting on what will help you and by showing what you are doing will be a great boon to us and all of our readers.
