Led by Channel 5’s The Gadget Show the Campaign For Free Wifi has a simple aim. To get a free WiFi service into every major town and city in the UK – with the stated primary aim of making life easier for anyone who relies on the Internet.
It’s a campaign that has been going for a little while and that is having some impact, to the point of the show being asked to provide evidence to the government.
Of course this campaign is being heavily tracked by technology sites and blogs.
It is also a campaign of great importance to the creative community. After all WiFi equals communication, and if you are creating you are communicating.
