Result of Saturdays Film Meet
Last Saturday amidst blazing summer heat and a near empty bar (it was a nice day and people wanted to be outside), three film fans talked about making movies.
We covered subjects such as how to make steadicams for next to nothing; coping with production time scales, viable cheap camcorders and what is cool on Youtube at the moment (if in doubt - ask a ninja).
As a result of the chat I’ve decided to do some more research and post an article on how to make a steadicam; And of course I’ll be looking at running more meetings in the future. Though with the combination of summer holidays and Consumed production deadlines I may need to take a break from the film meetings. I’ll let you know the decision soon. Unless someone is really keen for more film meets in July. In which case I’ll oblige and get one set up.
