I’m risking looking even more silly here.
Last night I saw the band Lordi win the Eurovision song contest with what I can only describe as a great fun and very un-eurovision performance. Great to see someone pushing the boundaries of the old song competition.
Unfortunately I’d done my bit of compulsory Doctor Who viewing earlier.
The result was a fun idea and image that played in my head for hours. How would a band comprised of Daleks fare as the UK entry? I think they would do well. After all Who (groan) indeed would dare not vote for the Daleks.
Anyone feel up to photoshopping or animating how this might look?

Sometimes the oddest images go through my head.
This time I’ve decided to share one with you all. Perhaps in the unlikely event that some may wish to run with it.
First imagine the 80’s TV show Airwolf. Try to recall the theme music and opening sequence.
Now think about Pobol Y Cwm. For those of outside Wales this is a Welsh language soap opera - and it also happens to be the BBCs longest running TV soap opera.
Now think about the Welsh mining valleys and male voice choirs.
All you now have to do is mix together footage from Airwolf, a soap opera and a Welsh male voice choir singing the theme music to Airwolf using only the words or variations of them for Pobol Y Cwm.
I told you my head was a strange place sometimes.
Can anyone out there make this bizarre sequence happen?

I’ve been looking at the end of month dates and have decided that moving back one weekend makes more sense. This means that the next Film Meet is the first Saturday in June. That’s June the 3rd. If anyone has problems with that please let me know asap. The venue will remain the same - Rosies Bar at the Red Dragon Centre in Cardiff Bay. Simply because it is an easy to reach location with free parking for those who need it. The style of the meet will be an informal chat. The meet will start at 2pm

It’s been a week since the film meet. If you’ve read the posting comments then you’d understand that there were some problems in people getting along to the event. My intention here is to start generating a way forward in order to provide successful future meetings.
First of all an apology - sorry this has take a week to get out. A lot has gone on in the past week to distract me from making this post.
Now onto the plan. What I’d like to do with the film meets is to enable a regular and relaxed meeting where people we can sit down get to know each other and talk about making films. I’m not worried about experience levels - beginner or highly experienced. Or even if you are a fan that wants to talk about how things are made. It’s about establishing a community.
I think it’s reasonable to plan for another meeting in about a months. In the intervening time some thought has to go into making sure we get people there. I know we have enough interested to get a start - providing we can get a good date. I also know that more publicity is going to be needed. For the moment I think the best move is to say; let’s do this, let us meet in a month. I’ll continue to update progress in Shared Creation. However if you have any thoughts or ideas on this subject I’d love to hear them.
