The Flat Holm Project
Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 5:12PM       | Flat Holm is a small island just 5 miles offshore from Cardiff and Barry. It has been a religious retreat since the dark ages, received the first radio transmission across water in 1897 and is a site of special scientific interest and a nature reserve.The Flat Holm Project (see www.cardiff.gov.uk/flatholm) aims to give you access to it.We'd like to draw your attention to some of the courses that will be run on Flatholm. Photography A Photography course is being run on the 29th of July with Tim Collier. Tim has kindly provided the photographs used in this article. You should also take a look at Tims website orange pebble for details of this and other courses. Yoga On the 29th of July Jackie Marshall will be teaching a full day Yoga Course. The 29th of August sees Louise Noyes taking up the challenge of teaching yoga on Flat Holm Art July 29th will see artist Shirley Anne Owen teaching art using water based media, watercolour, acrylic and inks.
