There’s Free Photography Classes in the Valleys

Category: UncategorizedRob @ 9:07 pm

It doesn’t scan quite as well as the classic “There’s a welcome in the valleys”, but it is true.

Tomorrow is a new term which means more free classes - so here are two that have come onto Shared Creations radar.

The first I want to mention is at the newly restored Llanhilleth Institute (aka Llanhilleth Miners Institute). I was lucky enough to be asked to participate in the launch of the Institute following its recent restoration last December and say that this is a great facility. Its been lovingly brought back to life and has been turned into one of the best centres for education, the arts and the community that I have recently seen. You can learn more about the Institute at http://www.llanhillethinstitute.com

The Digital Photography classes are scheduled for Thursday evenings; for more details call  01495  354675.

Our  next class is  not at a brand new centre, but  an excellent one none the less. It is  the WEA’s Churchview centre  in  Blaenavon.  Classes  here  are on Wednesday afternoons . For more details call the WEA  on 01495 791128.

Both classes are offering accreditation with the OCN, which means - complete these for free and you are on your way to getting an NVQ.
