Play At Glastonbury
Or to be more accurate - win a chance to play at the world famous Glastonbury music festival.
This is an opportunity for an unsigned band or artist to play on the Pyramid, or the Other stage at the festival. It works like this. New bands must upload their entry to the competition web site by January 27th 2008. A selection process will follow where the judges will pick out 12 finalists. The finalists will then battle it out by playing a 20 minute set at the Pilton Workings Men club near Glastonbury. The winner gets to play at the festival next year. All the finalists get paid £150 fee and the finalist will receive £500.
There is a fee of £11.75 to enter - a bit of a shame but then that is not so unusual for festival competitions and as fees go it is not so large.
The final view - well for a band - nothing can beat playing at Glastonbury so it has to a must enter competition.
