New Book from Ffotogallery

Category: Events, NewsRob @ 6:17 pm

Paul Seawrights new book “Invisible Cities” will be launched in the Court Room of the National Musuem - Cardiff on Tuesday 26th of June. Starting at 5.30pm. There will be wine and nibbles available.

The launch contines Ffotogallerys current trend of successfully launching books by Welsh artists.

For more information take a look at the blurb describing this new publication that Ffotogallery is sending out.

Paul Seawright’s new book, which is predicated on urban representations of major African cities, is presented in a very distinctive hardback format, [112pp, full colour throughout, 375mm x 245mm] and features over forty large-format plates tracing a passage through the margins of these vast cities. With a major text by the leading authority on metropolitan growth, John Reader and an illuminating interview between the artist and the curator and writer, Russell Roberts, Invisible Cities charts polemical new terrain in depictions of the ‘Third World’.

Copies of the book which retails at £25.00 are available at a special launch price of £20.00.

Ffotogallery wishes to express its thanks to the National Museum of Wales for their generous support of the Ffotogallery book launch programme.

Personally I hope this programme of publications and launches continues and manages to inspire more artists in Wales and elsewhere.
