We’re back in Swansea for another amperSAND seminar. This time the subject is close to many a web users heart - it is blogging and how successfully promote your website. Running this seminar is Nigel T Packer who last year presented a talk on how to create a successful website. It is expected that this seminar will sell out very quickly.
The correct title for this latest presentation is Blogging and Flogging. It runs on Wednesday 4th of April starting at 7.00pm. Click here for the amperSAND web site and full booking details.
Source the photography magazine is getting older. In fact it’s about to hit it’s 50th Issue. To mark this achievement Source is having a makeover, and new bigger and better version of the magazine is to be launched. This will happen at a relaunch event at the Turner House Gallery in Penarth on the 29th March between 7 and 10 pm. The relaunch event is free to enter and open to all.
Centre piecing the evening will be a photographic panel quiz with questions posed by Source’s co-editor Richard West. The panels will compose of a team of artists (Paul Jeff, Peter Finnemore, Helen Sear) and a team of academics (Ian Walker, Alicia Miller, Daniel Meadows). Who will win?

Friday 16th of March is preview night for a new collection of images by Paul Seagrass. After that the exhibition runs until the 6th of May.
I read the quote that gets behind Paul and this new show; then realised that I couldn’t better it - so here it is
Since 2005 Seawright has been returning to areas that, notwithstanding their scale, remain largely hidden in the visual lexicon of the West. The images depict burgeoning settlements on the edges of these cities; settlements that become cities in their own right, that are unplanned and chaotic, and that dwarf the metropoli that spawned them. These powerful pictures give voice to these new urban developments and highlight a dramatic, shifting and sometimes troubled landscape apparently invisible to the developed world.
The exhibition is held at: Ffotogallery @ Turner House, Plymouth Road, Penarth CF64 3MD
Opening Times are : Wednesday – Sunday 11am - 5pm

After a year in public beta (during which I never really stopped using it) Adobe Lightroom is finally out. In my opinion this is the best photographic workflow tool out there. It’s also being sold at £50 off it’s RRP until the 30th April, so if you want it, then I would say - get it soon.
Great to see this product on sale.
