Stage 6 Operational
Stage 6 is a new video sharing community from DivX. Launched in August it is now serving up video choices to film lovers. The big selling points being pushed by DivX for this service are the quality advantage that DivX offers over some alternative formats and the capability it has of being played back on a range of consumer DVD players (there are a number of DivX capable players on the market - I have quite a nice Sony model).
It also means that there is another location for budding film makers to post their films in an attempt to gain exposure.
