imagekind - A Place to Print, Sell and Promote
imagekind is a new place to have your work printed and sold. As usual you get to upload your own work. You also get to set your own sale price. If your price is over 100% of the wholesale price - imagekind gets a 5% cut.
So far not so different from over art sales sites.
Here though is where things do get a little new.
First of all the catalogue contains both members art and great many other commercial pieces, including quite a few classics. Then there is the interface - which is very easy to use. Finally there is a whole community going on with this site. So far members seem to be becoming fans of each others works and offering critiques to each other. Future plans include RSS feeds designed to make it easier to know when new work has been uploaded to various galleries.
This does sounds to me like a good combination of sales and networking. It could do very well indeed, both for itself and members.
