Larry Mitchell is a digital media artist and producer from Florida. Examples of his work have been seen on Nickelodeon, ABC, and HBO. He’s also worked in diverse fields such as music video production, medical research, product design, and technology training.

This event shows the importance of convergence. Something that is big in the digital media field (and today that means Movies, TV, Internet, Printed Works, Radio, and Music), so just about all forms of art and communication are being affected by this phenomena. It’s also an important part of modern technology with lots of manufacturers desperate to graft lots of devices together - think of all the extra functions on mobile ‘phones these days. It’s an important part of the Shared Creation process too - where we invite people from varying backgrounds to interact to create something new. So from our point of view, and that of the world of digital media this looks to be an interesting event - that’s right on the pulse of what is happening now.
